Tierra Linda Assistant Principal to Embark on Voyage of a Lifetime

The San Carlos School District is excited to share that Tierra Linda’s Assistant Principal, Charu Gulati, will be setting sail to the Galapagos Islands for an expedition under the Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship. Spotlight on Excellence🔦: Middle School WEB Transition Program at Central and Tierra Linda Middle Schools

We are proud to shine a spotlight on Central Principal Tom Domer and Tierra Linda Teachers Jason Kneebone and Eric Watts, together with student representatives, to highlight Where Everybody Belongs (WEB), a yearlong middle school transitions program that welcomes 6th graders and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their middle school experience. Two exciting initiatives happening this year: refreshing the SCSD Strategic Plan and developing a Facilities Master Plan.
Strategic Plan - Your input will be invaluable to co-create a resulting roadmap to inform next steps for our learners. We want to hear from you! Complete our new strategic planning survey online before December 15 (extended date). Attend one of our in-person community meetings:

San Carlos Early Learning Center/Preschool Pre-Registration Opens October 3

Come join your friends in the San Carlos Early Learning Center Program! Children are painting, building, creating, learning and playing Monday-Friday from 7:30am until 5:00pm. We have open spots available at each of the four elementary sites.

TK Extended Learning Program (TKELP)

Come join our new TK Early Learning Program for our Transitional Kindergarten students! Knowing some families will need afternoon care for their TK students, SCSD will offer an enriching, extended-day program for our littlest students in collaboration with our preschool program from the end of the school day until 5:30 pm.

Curative Testing at Central - Closes Dec 9

Due to decreased demand, Curative has informed SCSD that Dec 9 will be their last testing day at Central. Curative will offer testing Mon-Fri from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. through Dec 9. Transitional Kindergarten Eligibility Expansion

TK is Expanding Image
For the upcoming 2023-24 school year, students who turn 5 on or between September 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024 are eligible to register for Transitional Kindergarten (TK). - Monday, January 9 - Virtual TK/Kindergarten Welcome Night for New Families - 6:30-7:30 pm
- Tuesday, January 10 - PowerSchool Priority Registration Opens for All New Students at 12:00 pm
- Wednesday, February 1 - Schools hold Virtual Elementary School Tours for Incoming TK/Kindergarten Families - 4:00-4:30 pm
- Friday, February 10 - PowerSchool Priority Registration Deadline - 4:00 pm
