Potential Parcel Tax: Protecting Our Tradition of Excellence - A Future Worth Protecting

Take our survey image
San Carlos School District (SCSD) is proud of our long-standing tradition of excellence. For decades, our exceptional teachers, small neighborhood schools, strong community partnerships, and vibrant STEAM programs have prepared generations of San Carlos children for success in high school, college, and beyond. We serve nearly 3,000 students every day.

As inadequate state funding and the expiration of our current parcel tax create new challenges, the District is evaluating whether to ask the community to renew or increase this critical local funding to sustain the programs that make SCSD exceptional. Click on the title link to learn more.

Spaces Available in our San Carlos Early Learning Preschool Program

SC Early Learning Preschool Flyer
Did you know? San Carlos School District offers many preschool options so families can choose the program that best fits their needs.

We have early learning/preschool classes on all of our elementary campuses — Arundel, Brittan Acres, Heather & White Oaks. It’s a wonderful way to get to know your incoming school community and start building friendships early!

State-funded preschool spots are available now at Arundel, FREE for eligible families. Your family may qualify for our free, state-funded preschool program, and we can help determine eligibility. For example, a family of four earning up to $127,338 per year may qualify.

At San Carlos Early Learning (@play_shapes_minds), children thrive in a warm, nurturing environment that fosters curiosity, social growth, and school readiness — helping them build the skills they need in Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK) and Kindergarten and beyond.
