How We're Managing the Measure H Bond Program
To make the most of every Measure H dollar, the District has hired a small team of experienced staff to oversee the planning, design, and construction of bond-funded projects. These positions - funded by the bond itself - allow us to:
- Reduce reliance on outside consultants
- Keep more decisions house
- Improve coordination and oversight
- Save taxpayer money over the life of the bond
This team works closely with architects, contractors, and school leaders to make sure projects stay on time, on budget, and aligned with the needs of our schools.
By building this internal capacity, we're committed to being strong stewards of public funds while delivering safe, modern learning environments for all students.

SCSD Celebrates Phase I Climate Ready Facilities Upgrades!
We celebrated a major milestone with a ribbon cutting at Tierra Linda Middle School, marking the completion of projects that brought energy-efficient electric heat pumps, advanced air quality monitoring, and smart thermostats to Tierra Linda, Mariposa Upper Elementary and Arundel Elementary.
Special thanks to COO Jennifer Gaboury, Board President Tracy Park, Supervisor Ray Mueller, Mayor Sara McDowell, Council Member Neil Layton, Julie Hilborn (San Mateo County Office of Education), Kathy Parmer-Lohan (SCEF), and a representative from Congressman Kevin Mullin’s office for joining us in celebration.
Thank you, San Carlos community, for supporting Measure H—and to FLINT Construction, dsk Architects, our Facility Steering Committee, and site leaders for making healthier, greener learning environments possible!
And we’re not stopping here—next summer, Brittan Acres, Heather, and White Oaks Elementary Schools will receive these same Climate Ready upgrades. Read our Press Release to learn more and follow our progress on Instagram.
