CUPCCAA Contractor List
The San Carlos School District participates in the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA), which establishes informal bidding procedures for eligible public works projects under California Public Contract Code Sections 22000–22045.
Participation in the District’s CUPCCAA contractor list allows contractors to be considered for notification of informal bidding opportunities.

Eligibility
Contractors must hold a valid California contractor’s license and comply with applicable registration requirements to participate in CUPCCAA informal bidding opportunities.
Inclusion on the CUPCCAA list does not guarantee award of work.
Informal Bidding Procedures
Under CUPCCAA:
– Public projects of $75,000 or less may be performed by force account, negotiated contract, or purchase order without bidding
– Public projects of $220,000 or less may be awarded using informal bidding procedures
– Projects exceeding $220,000 must be awarded through formal bidding procedures
If all informal bids exceed $220,000, the governing board may award the contract up to $235,000 by a 4/5 vote under applicable conditions.

CUPCCAA is governed by Public Contract Code Sections 22000–22045, including Sections 22032 and 22034.
Important Notice
CUPCCAA registration does not satisfy contractor prequalification requirements under Public Contract Code Sections 20111.5 or 20111.6.
