- Technology Plan
San Carlos School District's Technology Plan was approved by the Governing Board at their May 7, 2026 Board Meeting. The updated plan provides a comprehensive framework to guide the District’s instructional technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity alignment, and fiscal sustainability efforts. The plan reflects the District’s commitment to supporting the Whole Child through innovative teaching and learning practices, while maintaining strong governance, equity, and operational stewardship.
Key components include:
- Clear goals aligned to innovation, equity, digital citizenship, professional learning, and infrastructure sustainability
- Establishment of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance and Literacy Framework
- Formalization of an EdTech Product Review and Approval Process to ensure instructional alignment, student data privacy compliance, and fiscal responsibility
- A defined multi-year refresh cycle and lifecycle funding strategy to stabilize long-term technology expenditures
- Alignment with the District’s separate Cybersecurity Plan to ensure ongoing protection of student and staff data
