Afterschool Programs - SMARTE Clubhouse, ACE, San Carlos Belmont Afterschool

SMARTE Clubhouse

Welcome to the SMARTE Clubhouse. We are so excited to welcome your child into our program!

The SMARTE Clubhouse is dedicated to enriching children's lives outside of school. It provides a fun, safe and welcoming place to spend time in a supervised childcare environment to support online learning and provide engaging activities.

The program is available to TK-3rd grade students on three of our elementary campuses - Arundel, Brittan Acres and Heather. Each program offers age-appropriate educational and enriching activities in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

SMARTE Clubhouse provides on-site, all-day care while schools are on a distance learning schedule. We have three different options available for families: Full-time 5 days a week or Part-time 2 days a week plus every other Wednesday. Programs run from 8:15 am-4:30 pm each day - students may be dropped off at 8:15 am if they have an early morning Zoom. We offer scholarships to families in need as well as SCSD staff and sibling discounts!

For the SMARTE Clubhouse distance learning child care program:

    • Priority for registration will be given to SCSD staff, essential workers, households where parents are required to work outside of the home, and then other families who would like to join the program.
    • Classes must have at least 12 students minimum to provide this program on a school campus. If there are not enough students at a school, students can join another program nearby.
    • Students will be in small groups of two staff members with no more than 12-15 children. We practice safety protocols, wearing masks, no mixing of groups, health checks daily and a strict daily cleaning routine.
