SMARTE CLUBHOUSE DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM

__________________________________________________________________________

SMARTE Clubhouse

The SMARTE Clubhouse is dedicated to enriching children's lives outside of school. It provides a fun, safe and welcoming place to spend time in a supervised childcare environment to support online learning and provide engaging activities.

For this school year, the SMARTE Clubhouse is providing on-site, all-day care while schools are on a distance learning schedule. It is available to TK-3rd grade students on three of our elementary campuses - Arundel, Brittan Acres, Heather and now open at White Oaks!

Each program offers age-appropriate educational and enriching activities in a warm and inviting atmosphere. When Phase 4 begins and schools start their AM/PM schedules, SMARTE will revert back our 5-day, 3-day and 2-day program schedules:
• 5-day (Monday-Friday) $1650 per month
• 3-day (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) $850 per month
• 2-day (Tuesday, Thursday) $600 per month
*For June, we will prorate the fees by 50% for the shortened month

We will continue to provide morning and afternoon care from 8:15am-4:30pm and students will be able to move between their classroom and SMARTE based on their AM/PM cohort schedule:
• PM Cohort students will attend SMARTE in the morning from 8:15am-12:20pm* and then return to the program after school dismissal from 2:50pm*-4:30pm
• AM Cohort students will attend SMARTE in the afternoon from dismissal at 10:50am*-4:30 pm
• On Wednesdays, students will attend SMARTE all day from 8:15 am-4:30 pm
*Start/End times may vary slightly at each school

For the SMARTE Clubhouse distance learning child care program:

  • Priority for registration will be given to SCSD staff, essential workers, households where parents are required to work outside of the home, and then other families who would like to join the program.
  • Classes must have at least 12 students minimum to provide this program on a school campus. If there are not enough students at a school, students can join another program nearby.
  • Students will be in small groups of two staff members with no more than 12-15 children depending on the size of the room. We practice safety protocols, wearing masks, no mixing of groups, health checks daily and a strict daily cleaning routine.
