Welcome to the Community Liaison & Family Resources Hub
Our Community Liaison Site is designed to be a central place where families can find information, resources, and support to help their children thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to clear communication, strong partnerships, and ensuring all families feel informed, supported, and connected to our school community.
On this site, you will find information about how we communicate with families, including parent communication protocols, upcoming events, and important dates. You’ll also find resources that support students’ social and emotional well-being, along with enrichment opportunities and programs offered through the District and our valued community partners.
We are proud to partner with local organizations to provide access to essential community resources, including food assistance, immigration support, and dental and vision services. For families with younger children, you can learn more about our Early Learning programs, and for families of middle school students, we’ve included helpful information for 8th grade families preparing for high school registration and the transition ahead.
Our goal is to make it easy for families to find what they need, when they need it—and to remind you that you are not alone. If you have questions or need additional support, our Community Liaison is here to help connect you with the right resources.

My name is Jenny Salazar, and I’m the community liaison for the San Carlos School District. My goal as community liaison is to support all families who need additional resources and services and to serve as a liaison to improve communication between you and our schools.
As a native Spanish speaker, I would also like to support you by providing you with the necessary tools so that you, as parents who speak a different language, can actively participate and continue to grow with our school community. We believe participation and involvement in school matters is essential to your children's success. With your help, each year we will be able to continue supporting them to grow and become more involved in different educational issues that interest them.
My office is located in the district office. You can contact me by email at [email protected] and by phone at 650-590-5950. I'm also always visiting the offices of our district schools in case you would like to meet with me at your child's school.

Mi nombre es Jenny Salazar y soy el enlace comunitario del Distrito Escolar de San Carlos. Mi objetivo como enlace con la comunidad es poder apoyar a todas las familias que necesitan recursos y servicios adicionales, y ser un enlace para mejorar la comunicación de ustedes y nuestros centros educativos.
Como hablante nativa de español, también me gustaría apoyarlos proporcionándoles las herramientas necesarias para que ustedes, como padres que hablan un idioma diferente, puedan participar activamente y seguir creciendo con nuestra comunidad escolar. Nosotros creemos que la participación y el relacionamiento en temas escolares es primordial para el éxito de sus hijos. Con su ayuda, cada año podremos seguir apoyándolos a crecer e involucrarse más sobre diferentes temas educativos de su interés.
