Power has been restored to Heather Elementary and school will be open tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29 as long as the power stays on.

Math in Focus was selected for its mastery-based approach to supporting learning.

This year, we are joining the district with a new approach to conferences in order to support increased student ownership, rigor, and engagement. We want our students to embrace new challenges with confidence, and we are eager to help each child take their next “just right” learning steps. Read more

Our goal this year is to ensure that every student attends school regularly.

Showing up for school has a huge impact on a student’s academic success starting in TK and kindergarten and continuing through high school.

At Heather, we’re implementing Reading and Writing Workshop to personalize literacy learning for each child. Teachers attended trainings with The Reading and Writing Project and are participating in continued coaching sessions throughout this school year to see and practice lessons in action in our classrooms.
