October 18-22 marks California’s DIgital Citizenship Week. At times, I think, why put the word Digital in front of Citizenship? Students at Heather School learn that engaging in appropriate and responsible behavior, good etiquette, and safety are all part of the Heather Way . . . on and offline. READ MORE

We will be participating in the “Great California Shakeout” earthquake drill Thursday October 21. Our students will practice “Drop, cover, and hold-on,” and then evacuate to our evacuation assembly areas, then we will move into the whole school assembly on the field, practicing what we’d do if the emergency didn’t allow us to return to classrooms. Heather staff have been reviewing and updating our Heather Emergency Plan that describes our teams working together for our overall safety in an emergency. Read More

On Friday, October 29, Heather students and staff will be celebrating Halloween at school, with our annual Halloween parade and classroom parties.
After careful thought and consideration, and in order to keep our festivities within County COVID Guidelines, we will continue to limit gatherings, which means we will not be able to have parents on campus this year for the parade.
