We are excited to announce Charu Gulati as the new Assistant Principal at Tierra Linda Middle School. Charu is a veteran middle school science educator and has served in various teacher leadership roles throughout her career that spans over 20 years. She is currently teaching science at Tierra Linda, and has been with SCSD for the past three years. Her domestic and international teaching experiences have ingrained in her an appreciation for social, cultural, and geographic diversity. She is passionate about empowering and elevating youth voices to foster positive change for our planet.
Charu is a National Geographic Certified Educator and was recently selected for the 2021 Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship with the National Geographic Society and Lindblad Expeditions. Charu is one of only 50 educators that was selected for this honor from across the U.S. and Canada! Charu is excited to step into this leadership role, and looks forward to working collaboratively and serving the greater San Carlos community.
