We’re well into fall, with colorful leaves and crisp, cool mornings setting the tone for the season. It’s been wonderful seeing so many of you at campus beautification days, movie nights, fall festivals and carnivals. Building community and investing in your neighborhood schools is part of the “secret sauce” that makes SCSD so special.

We are deeply grateful for Measure N, the local parcel tax that voters generously approved to protect programs and retain excellent teachers. However, rising costs have made it challenging for Measure N to cover all the needs of our schools.

To continue providing the strong education our students deserve, SCSD is considering asking the community to extend Measure N with a modest increase — and your input matters.
