Essential Worker Childcare Programs

In compliance with the latest San Mateo County Health Order, SCSD will begin opening childcare to groups of 12 or fewer for children of Essential Workers beginning May 11. The focus of each of these programs will be to provide safe spaces for students to access distance learning via Zoom. Supervision for additional recreational activities will also be provided. Strict health protocols will be in place at all facilities and campuses remain closed to all other members of the community.
  • Preschool for 3-5 year olds will be operated by our San Carlos School District Preschool.
  • SMARTE Clubhouse will provide a program for TK-3rd grade students at each elementary school.
  • Legarza Sports has a facility use contract with SCSD to operate childcare for students in grades 4-8 at Arroyo school.
