Health Tips for Flu Season

 

Although the weather has been unseasonably warm lately, we know the cold and flu season is just around the corner. Please consider ramping up your immune system and environmental defenses with the following suggestions:

  • Remind children to wash hands at least 3 times during the day. They should be using soap and rubbing vigorously long enough to sing the entire "ABC" song. Thoroughly drying hands is just as important as washing them, so remind them to always dry completely.

  • Drink lots and lots of water (8 glasses is a good target).
  • Get plenty of rest.
  • Clean surfaces in your house regularly.
