SCSD Middle School Sports

Middle School sports offer a chance for players to participate with classmates in a competitive school team environment. Players interested in participating need to register with Legarza prior to the beginning of the season. Teams are formed to include as many participants as possible in a season, given the restraints of facility space and coaching staff. Player skill is assessed at the beginning of each season and teams are formed to allow more experienced/skilled players to compete with similar teams throughout the league. The SCSD Wellness Director works with Legarza at the beginning of each season to determine the best balance of participation, competition, and player development, and then “A”, “B” and “C”-level teams are created to maximize competitive advantage and individual player development.
